Felix Afena Gyan becomes the 19th youngest player to score for AS Roma
Ghanaian teenage sensation Felix Afena Gyan is the 19th youngest AS Roma player to score in the club’s history after heroics in Genoa win.
The 18-year-old came off the bench in the 75th minute of Roma’s game at Genoa, and netted a late double to give the Giallorossi a 2-0 win.
He broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute and then added a stunning long-range strike in injury time to wrap up the points at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The enterprising forward left Ghana early this year to join the Italian side and has hit the ground running.
His brace against Genoa makes him the youngest player in the club’s history to hit a brace for the Giallorossi in 94-years (18 years and 306 days).
Afena-Gyan has also become the 19th youngest to find the net in the club’s history with Amedeo Amadei holding the record (15 years and 287 days).
