Former Inter Allies defender Hashmin Musah joins Nigerian premier League Side US Gendarmerie
Fomer Inter Allies defender Hashmin Musah has signed for Nigerian premier League Side, US Gendarmerie.
The experience Center-back has penned a six-month deal with the Nigerian Champions following a successful negotiations.
The defender joins the side on free transfer after ending his spell five year spell with Inter Allies.
Musah featured for the Inter Allies side that suffered relegation in the 2020/2021 season.
Hashmin Musah was charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) prosecutor over the match fixing scandal that rocked the country’s top-flight on the final day of the season.
After investigations into the match which produced a cricket scoreline with AshantiGold beating Inter Allies 7-0, Musah and three other players were charged.
He was charged on four counts of misconduct for breaching Article 34(12), Article 34(5)(a), Article 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations and Article 11(2)(d) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.
The defender said he deliberately scored two own goals in the match to foil a match fixing plot he had learnt of prior to the kick off. According to Musah, he was congratulated by his bosses for putting the ball in his own net twice.
The GFA Football Association are yet to come out with the verdict of the investigation.
