Former Kotoko forward Kwame Opoku opens scoring account with USM Algiers
Former Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku opened his scoring account with USM Algiers in the Algerian Coupe de la Ligue on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old former Asante Kotoko goal-poacher needed just 19 minutes on his debut for the club to register his name on the score-sheet at the Omar Hamadi Stadium.
Since joining USM the former Nkoranza Warriors forward had not featured for the club in any competitive fixture but he was handed his maiden start and he used the opportunity to justify his striking qualities.
He started the game against MC Algiers who also had former Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC striker Joseph Esso starting in attack.
