“Genoa must reach salvation and we will fight to obtain it” – Kevin Yeboah on relegation battle
Genoa forward Kelvin Yeboah says his outfit will fight in order to escape relegation at the end of the Italian Serie A season.
The Ghanaian-born Italy U21 forward joined the Rossoblus in the winter transfer window from Austrian side Sturm Graz after a superlative performance.
He has featured twice since joining the club.
With 15 games to end the season, Genoa sits 19th position on the log with 13 points and the Ghanaian-born remains confident his side will survive.
“I have known Genoa since I was a child, I followed them and it is true that they are experiencing a bit of a difficult time. But I think that to grow you have to face fascinating and demanding challenges like this against Genoa,” he said after the 0-0 draw against Udinese.
“15 battles await us from here to the end. We must reach salvation and we will fight to obtain it,” he added.
Yeboah has capped for the Italy U-21 after rejecting call up from Ghana.
