German-born Kofi Kyereh makes Black Stars debut

Germany-born forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh made his Black Stars bow in Friday’s World Cup qualifier victory  against Ethiopia.

The St. Pauli player was given his debut earlier than he expected after  he was introduced in the game in the 28th minute for Jeffrey Schlupp who suffered an injury.

Kyereh was handed a late call-up to the Black Stars after Kelvin Yeboah declined to represent Ghana.

The St. Pauli showed some spark whenever he was in possession and nearly set up an opportunity for captain Andre Ayew after he burst through on goal.

The German based forward will hope his performances on Friday would earn him a starting place in Monday’s qualifier against South Africa in Johannesburg.
