GFA bans referee Gabriel Opoku Arhin six matches

The Ghana Football Association has handed six matches suspension to referee Gabriel Opoku Arhin over wrong decisions in a Premier League game between Asante Kotoko and Bechem United.

During the game, the Porcupine Warriors captain Abdul Ganiyu Ishmael made a reckless tackle on the Hunters forward Emmanuel Avornyo, which the referee failed to show the defender the exit.

In the said game, Kotoko inflicted a 2-0 win over Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 3.

He rather showed the Black Stars defender a yellow which the Match Review Panel sees it as a wrong decision.

After Review, the referee has been handed with a six matches ban.
