GFA boss Kurt Okraku calls on Exco members to keep cool heads to take best decision for Black Stars
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has called on members of the Executive Council (Exco) to remain calm in order to make the best decision for the disjointed Black Stars.
The national team of the West African country featured at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament but unfortunately performed abysmally.
Amid the anger expressed by Ghanaians after the Black Stars’ exit from the 2021 AFCON, GFA president Kurt Okraku admits that the country’s football needs fixing.
Speaking to TV3, the GFA boss has called on the Exco to stay calm and take the right decision in the midst of the pressure.
“Fixing the Ghanaian football problem starts from the very foundation. It is the responsibility of everyone in EXCO around this time to have cool heads to ensure that we have the right decisions being taken for our dear Black Stars,” Kurt Okraku said.
The GFA President and leadership of the Exco will on Friday, January 21, 2022, hold an emergency meeting with the Sports Ministry on the way forward for the Black Stars.
