Ghana and Stuttgart midfielder Roberto Massimo test positive for coronavirus

Ghanaian midfielder Roberto Massimo has tested positive for coronavirus pandemic and is currently in isolation, Footballghana.com can report.

The 20-year-old was invited to represent Germany U-21 in the European Championship qualifiers this month.

With Massimo testing positive for the deadly disease, the VFL Stuttgart midfielder will miss the games against Israel (October 7) and Hungary (October 12). He has left camp to enter into quarantine.

A statement from the German Football Association (DFB) reads, “Due to the hygiene precautions already in place, this will not affect the team’s upcoming game against Hungary in Szeged,”

Massimo has featured 10 times in all competitions this season for Stuttgart.
