Ghana captain Andre Ayew celebrates with Al Sadd teammates after clinching Qatari Stars League
Ghana international Andre Ayew joined his Al-Sadd teammates to celebrate after winning the 2021/22 Qatari Stars League title.
Ayew, who joined the club in October 2021 has been instrumental scoring 14 goals in as many matches he played in the season.
Al Sadd were officially crowned champions after a 1-1 stalemate with Al-Duhail at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The Ghanaian forward featured in the game and picked up a winners’ medal and celebrated with his teammates as the prestigious prize was handed to Al Sadd.
It is the second title Ayew has won with the club after winning the Emir Cup on penalties over Al Rayyan last year.
Al Sadd were confirmed as champions earlier this week following a comprehensive 8-2 demolition of Al Ahli with Ayew scoring a fine brace in that match.
