Ghana captain Andre Ayew one goal away from breaking father Abedi Pele’s record at Al Sadd
Ghana captain Andre Ayew is on the verge of breaking his father, Abedi Pele’s goal scoring record at Al Sadd SC.
The 31-year-old secured a move to the Qatari giants in the summer transfer window as a free agent after leaving Championship side, Swansea City. He followed in the footsteps of his father by signing for the club.
Ayew has hit the ground running scoring seven goals for the club in the ongoing campaign after finding the back of the net against Al Hilal last weekend.
His seven goals means, he is one goal away from surpassing his father goal scoring record at the club.
The three-time African Player of the Year featured for Al Sadd decades ago scoring seven goals in one season.
