Ghana defender Alexander Djiku features for Strasbourg in defeat to Basel
Ghana defender, Alexander Djiku was in action for Racing Strasbourg last Friday when the team suffered a narrow defeat to FC Basel in a friendly encounter.
The Black Stars centre-back was a key asset for his team last season as they fought to escape relegation on the back of a very challenging campaign.
Now back in pre-season to prepare for the 2021/2022 football season, Alexander Djiku is working hard to get into a good shape.
Last Friday, he featured for Racing Strasbourg when the French Ligue 1 outfit engaged Swiss giants FC Basel in a friendly match.
Although the defender had a good game, his side ended up losing 1-0 to the opponent.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Alexander Djiku noted that the team has taken positives from the defeat and will work on improving until the start of the 2021/2022 French Ligue 1 season.
