Ghana defender Gideon Mensah provides assist in Bordeaux win over FC Metz

Ghana international Gideon Mensah played an influential role in Bordeaux win over FC Metz in the French Ligue 1.

The enterprising left-back assisted a goal as Bordeaux inflicted a 3-1 win over Metz at Matmut Atlantique.

Mensah off the bench and lasted 27 minutes for his outfit as they secured an important victory on Sunday.

He set up Mbaye Niang to score Bordeaux second goal of the game.

Goals from Ricardo Mangas, Mbaye Niang and Hwang Ui-jo were enough for Bordeaux to pick all points at stake.

Mensah, 23, has featured in 19 league game for Bordeaux this season in the French Ligue 1.

The left-back was instrumental when Ghana qualified for the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria on an away goal rule.
