Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng ruled out of Hertha Berlin’s clash with Greuther Furth

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng will miss Hertha Berlin’s Bundesliga clash with Greuther Furth on Saturday due to injury.

The 34-year-old has not trained with the side in the last few days and has therefore been ruled out of their game this weekend.

Since joining the German club from the Italian Serie B side AC Monza, the former Black Stars player has missed a lot of games due to injury.

“With Kevin, the last few days he was lying flat, he was in bed for three days and did part of the training today,” Hertha Berlin coach Tayfun Korkut said.

Meanwhile, the club hopes he can get to full fitness next week.

“We hope that he can get fully involved next week,” he added.

He has been involved in 14 games, 12 in the league but has played just 462 minutes and scored no goal nor recorded an assist.

Boateng moved to his boyhood club before the start of the season on a one-year deal after failing to secure top-flight football with Monza, a club owned by former AC Milan chief Silvio Berlusconi.
