Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi falls down the pecking order at Hannover 96
Ghanaian forward Patrick Twumasi has fallen down the pecking order at Hannover 96 after being overtaken by youngster Lawrence Ennali.
Twumasi, who joined the Bundesliga II outfit last summer from Deportivo Alaves endured a difficult first season at the club.
Despite hoping to hit the ground running in the upcoming season, he has fallen out of favour with manager Zimmermann.
The Black Stars forward is yet to play a competitive game under the manager as youngster Lawrence Ennali has overtaken him and has to stand in line for the time being.
Despite impressing at training on Wednesday after winning a duel against left-back Jan-Erik Eichhorn, the gaffer disclose he has to queue up in the team as the 19-year-old overtakes him.
“I’m going after my training performance,” said Zimmermann, explaining the decision. 96 would also give up Twumasi. Unlike Ennali, who is also at home on the piano. The 19-year-old didn’t play in Norderstedt, just like Twumasi, but “he took his chance, he’ll get his opportunities, that’s clear,” he said.
