Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus features as Ajax lose to Dutch Cup final to PSV
Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus was in action for Ajax as they lost 2-1 to PSV in the Dutch Cup final on Sunday.
The 21-year-old climbed off the bench in the 86th minute to replace Davy Klaassen in a dramatic encounter.
Ten Hag’s side opened the scoring in the first half and had two goals ruled out for offside but they were not able to stop PSV’s fightback in the second half.
With the Amsterdam side leading at half-time, it only took five minutes after the interval for the home side to gain the advantage following two individual mistakes from the Ajax side.
Ajax could still end the season on a high note as they are currently top of the Eredivisie with 72 points, four points adrift of second-placed PSV with five games left to play.
Kudus has had a topsy-turvy season so far due to persistent injuries.
He has made 19 appearances for Ajax across all competitions and scored five goals so far this season.
Ajax will take on NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie on Saturday and will look to bounce back to winning ways.
