Ghana to drop in next FIFA ranking following defeat to Bafana

The senior national soccer team, the Black Stars are expected to drop in the next FIFA ranking following their defeat to South Africa in World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana were handed their first defeat in the qualifications by South Africa on Monday at the FNB Stadium.

The Bafana Bafana recorded a deserving 1-0 victory to go top of Group G with the only goal scored by Bongokuhle Hlongwane.

The Black Stars dropped three places down in the month of July after failing to score against Morocco and Ivory Coast in friendlies.  The team lost 1-0 to Morocco before playing a 0-0 draw against Ivory Coast on home turf in June.
