Ghana to know group stage opponents for 2023 AFCON qualifiers on April 19
Ghana will know its opponents for the group stage of the qualifiers for the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
This follows an official communique from CAF announcing the date for the draw of the group stage of the AFCON qualifiers.
“TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2023 Group Stages
“The road to Cote d’Ivoire TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations will gain momentum in June 2022 when the Group Stages commence.
“The draw for the group stages will be conducted on Tuesday, 19 April 2022 at 17h30 GMT,” a communique from CAF said on Friday, April 8, 2022.
Meanwhile, CAF says it will announce in the coming weeks where people can watch and follow the April 19 draw.
“CAF will announce all the platforms where people can watch and follow the draw in due course,” the CAF statement adds.
Ghana featured at the 2021 AFCON but performed shambolically.
The Black Stars will fight to qualify for the next tournament to try and lift the trophy.
