Ghanaian attacker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu scores to help Rio Ave to draw 2-2 against FC Leixoes

Ghanaian forward Abdul-Aziz Yakubu scored with a fantastic effort on Sunday afternoon to help his Rio Ave side to draw 2-2 against FC Leixoes in the Portuguese Secunda Liga.

The striker since moving to the club from Vitória Guimarães for a loan spell has settled in very well and is currently one of the team’s best players.

Today, he was called into action when his team faced off with FC Leixoes to battle for points in the Portuguese lower-tier league.

Impressing with his performance today, Abdul-Aziz Yakubu was key for his club and scored with a fantastic effort in the second half.

That together with a strike from Ronan David Jerônimo helped Rio Ave to come from behind to earn a crucial point.

On the matchday, David Samuel Custódio and Joao Oliveira netted the goals for Leixoes FC in the first half.

Courtesy of his goal today, Ghanaian attacker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu now has six goals this season.
