Ghanaian attacker Bismark Charles wins player of the Month award at CSKA Sofia
Ghanaian youngster Bismark Charles has been awarded CSKA Sofia player of the month of May following his sterling performance.
The forward scored two goals and put up a scintillating performance during the month.
He scored the match winner to propel CSKA Sofia the final of the Bulgarian Cup against Ludogorets.
CSKA Sofia recorded a 1-0 victory over FC Arda 1924 Kardzhali in the final to win the competition for the 21st time in history.
Charles was introduced in the match in the 61st minute replacing Ecuadorian striker Jordy Caicedo.
He scored the winning goal in the 85th minute to ensure CSKA Sofia lift the coveted trophy this season.
The 19-year-old striker joined the Bulgarian giants in February 2021 after impressing on trials after leaving Kosovan side KF Trepca.
Charles has since scored 3 goals in 4 matches in the Bulgarian Cup and also scored twice in 10 games in the Bulgarian league.
