Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu urge teammates to improve after international break
Dutch defender of Ghanaian descent, Leeroy Owusu has charged his teammates at Willem II Tilburg to come back from the international break stronger.
Throughout the month of October, the club failed to pick up a win and has subsequently started November on a similar note.
With Leeroy Owusu agreeing that the team has been poor, he says players must reset after the international break and do better when club football returns after two weeks.
“It’s a matter of trust after all. We’ve had a few knocks in the last few weeks. That didn’t help us. You can see that we struggle when we have to make the game. We really need to get better at that.
“Two weeks of no competition now is just as good, I think. Free your head, no football for a while. Let’s all reset,” Leeroy Owusu has said in an interview.
This is a view shared by his manager who has been frustrated by the situation.
