Ghanaian female football star Princella Adubea wants Ghana President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo to stand up against proposals for the legalization of LGBTQI activities in the country.

There has been an ongoing debate in recent weeks about issues related to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender and Queer Intersex (LGBTQI) activities being allowed in Ghana.

The LGBTQI controversy has been stoked in the country after the European Union (EU) took part in the opening of a new office space for members of the group.

The move has divided opinion across various divides and Princella Adubea wants Ghana to take a firm stance against such acts.

In an interview with Asempa FM, the Racing Santander striker is urging Ghana’s president to resist any pressure from outside forces to accept for such immoral acts.

“I will urge the president to outrightly reject any move to allow for Lesbians and Gays to operate in Ghana.

“This is something our cultural values and religious principles frown on. This is something that will not bring peace in Ghana so the President should stand up against it and say NO to its legalization,” she concluded.

Princella Adubea is a former SWAG female footballer of the Year and also won the Women’s Ghana Premier League Player of the Year in 2018.
