Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Schindler suffers injury at training

Ghana and FC Cologne midfielder Kingsley Schindler suffered an injury during the team’s training on Wednesday.

According to German portal, Geissblog, the 28-year-old pulled out of training and it is unknown whether he will be sidelined for a longer period or not.

Cologne’s manager reacting to Schindler injury said, “He didn’t feel well after that, that’s why he had to go in.” It is still unclear whether a longer failure is threatened.

The enterprising midfielder season has been plagued by injuries and will hope to recover in time to feature for his outfit after winning the trust of manager Steffen Baumgart with his hard work during pre-season.

Schindler struggled last season while on loan at second-tier club Hamburger SV. He made only one goal contribution in 27 matches even though most were substitute appearances.

His contract with Cologne will expire in the summer of 2023.
