Ghanaian midfielder Pierre Dwomoh reacts to playing opportunities at Royal Antwerp

Belgian-born Ghanaian Pierre Dwomoh has reacted to his recent playing opportunities at Royal Antwerp.

The 17-year-old was handed his first start in the Belgian top-flight when his outfit played giants Anderlecht.

He lasted 75 minutes as Royal Antwerp defeat Anderlecht 2-0 on home turf last Sunday.

The Ghanaian attacking midfielder climbed off the bench and enjoyed 45 minutes against Club Brugge.

He also got some minutes in the 3-0 Europa League defeat to Fenerbahçe last week.

Speaking after the game, Dwomoh expressed delight about recent playing opportunities at the club.

“I started the match without stress and with confidence,” he said afterwards in the press zone. “I know I’m still young, but I’ve always said 17, 18 or 19, it makes no difference.”

The Ghanaian youngster also shared his thought sharing the pitch with Radja Nainggolan

“It was really a childhood dream. When I was little, I saw him play with the Red Devils,” he said.

“He helps me very well. He coaches me on the field. He is very important to me.”
