Ghanaian youngster Herbert Ansah nets 9th goal of the season for Torino in Italian Campionato Nazionale U18

Torino teenager Herbert Ansah continue to demonstrate his value the club in his first season in the Italian U18 division. The right forward scored his ninth goal last Sunday in a 1-1 draw against Inter.

Ansah gave Torino the lead in less than a minute after racing down the right channel to beat two opposing defenders for a long ball which he managed to squeeze past Inter goalkeeper.

Herbert has 9 goals in 16 appearances in his first year playing in Italy. He is the top scorer for Torino who are 7th on the league table in the Campionato Nazionale U18.

Speaking about his number of goals this  season, the 18 year-old said he could have scored more.

” I feel good but not so much excited. I could have score more goals and I want to do so regularly.”

“It’s my first season in Italy and the first time playing for a club, so there are a few things that I need  to learn. I need to be patient and continue to improve.

“I believe strongly that I will get double goal figures before the end of the season.”
