Ghana’s President arrives in Qatar ahead of Ghana-Portugal match

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has arrived in the peninsular Arab country hosting the 2022 World Cup, Qatar.
His visit is in support of the Ghana Black Stars as they play their first match of the world tournament with Portugal in a group H encounter later today, Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Stadium 974 in Ras Abu Aboud, Doha.
Report said the President earlier today visited the camp of the Black Stars in Doha to interact with the team ahead of the match which will kick start at 4pm local time.
Pictures of the visit have been sighted by GhanaPlus.com on the various social media platforms.

President Akufo-Addo is expected to be present at the Stadium 974, a temporary venue made from 974 recycled shipping containers to support the teams during the match.
Vice President Bawumia sends goodwill massage to the Black Stars ahead of Ghana-Portugal match
The Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on the other hand sent a goodwill massage to the team on Wednesday, November 23, urging them to play their hearts out for mother Ghana.
He believes that team can make it adding that they have done it before.
“The moment has come for the black stars to take the world. We have a group of talented players who have been selected and they cannot be intimidated by anyone. I went to urge the Black Stars to go on and play their hearts out for mother Ghana. We can stand the world. We have done it before and we can do it again. They should go out and emulate the historic deeds of the predecessors.
