Gladson Awako vows to cement place in the Black Stars
Accra Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako has vowed to cement a place in the senior national team of Ghana.
The hardworking player who is in top form this season was invited by Coach CK Akonnor for Ghana’s recently two international friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast.
Before that, he was part of the squad that featured in the African Cup of Nations double header qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
Speaking to Volta region based radio station Agboo FM, Awako vowed to keep pushing and pressing to maintain his place in the Black Stars.
“I am of course happy with how my appearance for Ghana went. Every player will relish that because it improves your confidence in subsequent games for club and country,”
“And l will work hard to cement position in the Black Stars team” he stated.
The Olympics midfielder will be anticipating for another call up when the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers resumes in September.
