Young Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad is hoping to draw motivation and inspiration from the valuable national team experience as he targets more higher heights in his career.

The youngster has recorded high rated feats in his fledgling career in the last 5-6 months while on national assignments. First he won the Best Goalkeeper at the WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship while Ghana won the ultimate. The 18 year old once again was on the podium as he won the Best Goalkeeper at the recent Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament while Ghana won the competition.

These achievements has seen Danlad’s stock rise and he was recently invited into the camp of the senior national football team for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome last month.

Although he didn’t get the opportunity to make his debut, Ibrahim Danlad believes being in the company of the Black Stars was a worthwhile experience.

“It’s a great feeling. They (Black Stars players) are not like how we see them from outside if you experience them closely,” he told footballmadeinghana.com

“They were very chatty with us, encouraging and advising us to keep doing our best whenever we get such opportunities like they did. It’s a great privilege and pleasure to have the chance to be among such company in the National team.I will describe it as a great feeling,” he added.

“It’s given me confidence because playing with these experience players has encouraged me to eschew complacency and work hard to continue to be among such company going forward.
