Gold Stars coach Michael Osei reacts to 1-0 defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko
Asante Kotoko defeated Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0 on Friday afternoon at Dun’s Park in the ongoing 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season
After the game head coach Michael Osei reacted to his team’s defeat to the Porcupine Warriors.
On what happened to his team coach Michael Osei said:
“This is very very unfortunate game, I mean we don’t deserve to lose the whole three points. It was balanced game, I mean we even created a lot of chances more Kotoko but the only small chance that they got I mean they were able to score the goal,”
“But it is part of the game so we have to move on and make sure that we do better in the next game,”
“We didn’t play badly, they were so determined, like you said we were able to create a lot of chances even the last one that Prince Owusu got he should have buried it,”
On what he has learnt from today’s game:
“Actually the goal scoring chances that we spoiled we should have I mean score one of them, we will learn from it and make sure that we do our goal scoring exercise very well and make sure that the next games coming we can bury our chances,”
On losing at Dun’s Park:
“For my experience in the game I can see it’s normal in the game so we need to learn a lot from this game because this is the game we shouldn’t have lost but its a part of the game that we have to learn from it. We learn from it and make sure that the next games we will do better,”
On how good are Asante Kotoko:
“Actually in this game we didn’t see that Kotoko was ahead of Bibiani, we saw that we could play the game more than them but with the experience they scored their goal…they scored their chance that they got. So its part of the game like I said we need to work extra hard and make sure that the coming games we can do better,”
