GPL Highlights: Hearts of Oak 2-1 WAFA SC – Sulley Muntari nets first goal for Phobians
Hearts of Oak on Wednesday afternoon posted a 2-1 defeat over WAFA SC in the Ghana Premier League thanks to a spot-kick converted by Sulley Muntari.
The former AC Milan star since signing for the Phobians has been in fine form in the numerous games he has played.
In a matchday 19 encounter of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season today, Sulley Muntari started for Hearts of Oak when the team hosted WAFA SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
On the matchday, Kwadwo Obeng Jnr scored in the 46th minute to open the scoring for the Phobians.
Ten minutes later, the WAFA SC pulled parity when Derrick Antwi saw an effort find the Hearts of Oak net.
In the remainder of the game, there was a lot of action but the deciding moment came in the 75th minute when the home team was awarded a penalty kick.
Experienced midfielder Sulley Muntari stepped up and converted to seal a 2-1 win for Hearts of Oak.
