GPL Preview: Relegation battlers King Faisal and Ebusua Dwarfs face-off in all or nothing clash at Techiman
Two survival chasing sides King Faisal FC and Ebusua Dwarf will clash in a win or bust clash on Saturday as the Ghana Premier League draws to a close.
We are in the penultimate match week of the 34-game season with the league table set to take final shape.
As the curtains wind down on the season, the battle down the league table gets tougher as teams scramble for safety.
King Faisal who lie 16th and have 37 points need a win on Saturday to get closer to safety, while Dwarfs currently on 38 points need same results to be totally free from demotion.
This sets up the tie to be exciting as both teams have shown the knack for playing offensive football when need be.
FORM GUIDE
KING FAISAL
King Faisal have won 3 of their last 5 home matches (L1 D1), scoring in all but one of those games.
Their overall form reveals 2 wins and 2 draws in the last 5 games with their last defeat coming in a away trip to Berekum Chelsea.
They have scored in all but 1 of the 5 games, while keeping 2 clean sheets in the process.
Striker Kwame Peprah has scored 2 of the five goals scored during this period and should be highly favored to score against Dwarfs.
EBUSUA DWARFS
Ebusua Dwarfs are the second most in-form side in the league aside league leaders Accra Hearts of Oak, having picked 10 points in their last 5 games (W3, D1, L1). While doing this, they have scored 7 and conceded 3 goals.
Their away form however is a bit worrying as they’ve only managed a win out of their last 5 travels, picking a miserly 3 points out of an available 15.
The only hope for Coach Kuuku Dadzie’s side is they won their last away game by a huge 4-1 result against Karela United.
However, against King Faisal, they will not find things easy.
PREDICTION
A tough game expected for both sides, but King Faisal with home advantage should secure maximum points.
The game kicks off at 3pm GMT and will be live on TV courtesy StarTimes Channel 247.
