GPL Report: Legon Cities 2-0 Elmina Sharks; Hans Kwoffie double fires Legon Cities 4 points away from drop zone
Legon Cities new boy Hans Kwoffie continued his fine start to life at the club as he netted both goals in their 2 nil home win over Elmina Sharks.
Kwoffie joined from AshantiGold SC in the second transfer period and marked his debut with a goal last weekend against Bechem United.
The former Ghana Premier League goal king continued from where he left off in midweek during the visit of Elmina Sharks to the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Selected to start for his new side, Kwoffie needed 25 minutes to score his first home goal as a Royal.
His goal proved the difference in the first half with Legon Cities leading 1 nil.
Back from the break, the former Medeama forward netted his second of the night to give his side a 2 zero lead. Legon Cities eventually cruised to a comfortable home win against their abject visitors.
The win lifts survival chasing Legon Cities to 13 on the league standings. With 19 points, the Royals are 4 points away from the relegation zone.
