Hearts captain Fatawu Mohammed handed late Black Stars call up for 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has been handed a late Black Stars call-up for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup World qualifiers.

Ghana will play host to Ethiopia on Friday, September 3 at the Cape Coast stadium before playing South Africa on September 6, 2021 at the FNB stadium.

The enterprising right-back was not i8ncluded in the initial 30-man squad that was announced by coach CK Akonnor but circumstances beyond his control have forced him to tinker the list with the inclusion of Fatawu Mohammed.

He comes in a replacement for Slovakian based defender Benson Annan who has been ruled out of the doubleheader.
