Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has played down his side’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season, but he insists that he is happy with the progress his team is making.

The Phobians have been starving for success in recent times having last won the League title in the 2008/09 season.

The former Medeama gaffer has masterminded two wins in two games since joining the capital-giants in February.

Their latest victory against Aduana Stars over the weekend has seen them move 3rd in the standings and only three points adrift league leaders Great Olympics who have 33 points.

However Samuel Boadu insists his team is still a work in progress.

“Tactically we have a lot of work to do. Now the players are coping with my systems and philosophy but I want to quickly adapt to it”, Boadu said at the post-match conference after the game.

“My philosophy is to play attacking football but Aduana Stars came with a different plan to stop us but we were able to beat them”

“We are thinking of working on the technique and tactics of the players at the moment. The plan is to take it game by game and not concentrate on the league title now. The moment we are winning our matches things will change on the league title”, he added.
