Henry Asante Twum believes Black Stars new technical leadership can qualify Ghana to 2022 World Cup

Henry Asante Twum, Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director is confident the Black Stars new technical leadership can qualify Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

GFA has appointed ex-Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton as Technical Advisor to the newly constituted Black Stars Technical team led by Otto Addo.

Other members of the new Technical team include George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani. The Black Stars will take on the Super Eagles at the Cape Coast stadium on March 24 before travelling to Nigeria for the 2nd leg at the Abuja Sports stadium on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

“We believe that the expertise of these four people and their quality is what would guarantee us a place in Qatar,’ Asante Twum told Citi Sports.

“They all come in with different backgrounds and collectively we think they have the quality and competence to move us to the next stage.”

Ghana are chasing a record 4th FIFA World Cup appearance while Nigeria seek for their 7th appearance in the competition.
