I had to check the internet about new RB Leipzig coach – Brobbey confesses

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Brian Brobbey has confessed he had to google about new RB Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch.

The German Bundesliga outfit appointed Jesse March as replacement for Julian Nagelsmann who left to join giants, Bayern Munich following the departure of Hansi Flick.

The 19-year-old signed in March 2021 for Leipzig under the auspices of Julian Nagelsmann but his exit from the club nearly forced the Ghanaian forward to walk back on his move.

But according to Brobbey, the newly appointed trainer convinced him to stay at the club but admitted he had to study who his boss was on the internet before he met him.

“When it was clear that Jesse was going to be the new coach, I first checked the internet!” Brobbey told Bild. “I wanted to know how he played and I saw his speech from the game with Salzburg in Liverpool.

“It was a little strange for me because [Nagelsmann] said he was staying. But I had a good conversation with Jesse and he’s a very good coach. Now we speak almost every day. I’m glad I’m here.”

“I have to train hard every day and show myself to offer myself to the coach. Then he has to decide who to put up. But I want to be important to the team.”
