I have been unlucky – Kudus Mohammed opens up after recovering from injury
Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has admitted that he has been unlucky with injuries following his recovery from a rib injury which kept him out of action for nearly three months.
The promising 21-year-old playmaker suffered the injury while on international duty with the Black Stars in November during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa.
However, the former FC Nordsjaelland ace made his return in Ajax’s 5-0 win over FC Twente.
Speaking to Ajax’s media team, the Ghanaian attributed his injury crises to being “unlucky”.
“With the injuries, they are not injuries which happened because I was not training well or taking care of myself. I was just unlucky and things like that,” he said.
“I trust in God and I also try to control things I can, leave what I cannot to God. I try my best to stay fit,” he added.
Mohammed Kudus will be hoping to make a start when Erik ten Hag’s men face Willem II in the Eredivisie on Saturday night.
