I miss my team – injured Ambrosius is fighting back
HSV defender Stephan Ambrosius is still working on his comeback. The 22-year-old tore a cruciate ligament during training in April this year. A month-long break was and is the result. Now HSV has accompanied Ambrosius on his way back.
Ahead of the 2018–2019 season, Stephan Ambrosius signed his first professional contract running until 30 June 2021.
In December 2018, Ambrosius suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, sidelining him for the rest of the season.
Although born in Hamburg, Ambrosius was eligible to play for Ghana due to his parents being from the country.
Stephan Ambrosius was called up by Germany under-21 coach Stefan Kuntz in early October 2020 but he was unable to participate in the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification matches against Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Stephan Ambrosius finally made his debut for the under-21 side in November 2020.
