I'm not homeless after AmaZulu FC release - Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Darpoh reacts

Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Darpoh has denied reports he’s homeless in Durban following his release by AmaZulu last year.

According to citizen.co.za, the 23-year-old was struggling while he awaits another chance to play football again.

However, Darpoh has confirmed that he remains employed and is now doing duty for the Clinton Larsen-coached Summerfield Dynamos in the lower divisions.

“I don’t know how someone can claim I am now homeless when I am still staying at the same place where I stayed when I was still with AmaZulu,” he said.

“At the moment I am playing for Summerfield where I am working with coach Clinton. It is an ABC Motsepe League team where I have come so I keep going to make sure that I remain active.

“This is where I am now and we are even in the Nedbank Cup and due to play Uthongathi in the round of 32 (at Princess Magogo Stadium).

“I don’t know where all this that I am homeless is coming from because I’m fine and not struggling with anything,” he explains while backing up his talk with photos at training with Dynamos.

Darpoh and AmaZulu parted ways at the beginning of the season after struggling for game time under coach Benni McCarthy.

He had been with the club for over five years.
