Iraqi side Al-Jawiya Club open talks to sign Ghanaian defender Wilson Akakpo

Iraqi Premier League club, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club has commenced negotiations to sign defender Wilson Akakpo from Al-Najaf FC.

The Ghanaian-Togolese defender joined Al-Najaf FC in 2020 and managed to give a very good account of himself during the past season.

With Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club keen on reinforcing their squad for the upcoming football season, the team has set sight on securing the services of Wilson Akakpo.

Today, the latest information coming in is that negotiations have already started to poach the defender from Al-Najaf FC.

“The Air Force started his negotiations with Wilson in order to obtain his services and settle the deal early, especially since his contract with Najaf expires at the end of the current season,” a source close to the player told kooora.
