It was important to beat Beerschot, says Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru

RSC Anderlecht midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru has described the victory against Beerschot VA as an important win.

The Ghana midfielder was a second-half substitute on Sunday and scored to help his team to hammer the opponent 4-2 in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Speaking to Sporza after the game, Majeed Ashimeru said, “It was an important win,” while adding “We felt the pressure, but the coach told us how good we are and that we had to stay calm and focused. The whole team did that too.”

“We often practice this in training. When I have the ball, I know where my mates are and they know how I move. It was indeed a nice combination.

According to him, RSC Anderlecht will win more gains if the team maintains and improve on the performance against Beerschot.

“If we stay focused, we will get the points we need. There are many more games to come, we have to continue like this,” the Black Stars midfielder added.
