Italy-born Ghanaian defender Mark Kwarteng joins Swedish outfit Grebbstand IF
Ghanaian international Mark Kwarteng has completed his move to Swedish lower-tier side Grebbstand IF, footballghana.com can report.
The player born in Italy over the last few years has played his football in the Italian lower leagues.
On the back of interest shown by Grebbstand IF and fruitful negotiations in the past week, the centre-back has sealed a move to join the Swedish club.
In his maiden interview after joining the club, Mark Kwarteng shared his excitement, noting that he cannot wait to play to help the team.
“I want to play all the matches and help the team win all the matches. That we are fighting at the top of the series,” he told the club’s website after signing the deal.
In the past, the youngster played for clubs including Saló Giovanili (2019), Armando Picci on loan (2019), back to Saló Giovanili (2020), Morolo (2020) and most recently in Bastia Calcio 1924 (2021).
Mark Kwarteng has signed a long term deal with Grebbstand IF and is expected to have a key role to play for the team.
