It’s a dream come true – Mohammed Salisu on playing Premier League

Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu says it’s a dream come true playing in the English Premier League considering his background as a player.

The 21-year-old secured a move to the Southampton in 2020 from Real Valladolid in a deal worth 10 million pounds.

Despite a torrid start last season, the enterprising defender has risen to become a key cog for the side this season featuring 9 times so far.

In an interview, Salisu who recently disclosed he is not ready to play for the Black Stars said he feels proud of what he has achieved in his career.

The towering guardsman revealed that he had to skip classes to play football, a decision that did not down with his mother especially.

“This is a dream come true – playing in the sand without boots and ending up here in the Premier League, I am very proud of what I have achieved in my life,” he added.
