It’s a tough match and we are taking it very serious – CK Akonnor speaks ahead of South Africa clash
The head coach of the Ghana national team, CK Akonnor has stressed that his team will not have it easy against South Africa in the World Cup qualifiers and hence his team is taking the game very seriously.
Nicknamed the Black Stars, the team will on Monday play as a guest to the Bafana Bafana in a second match of Group G in the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Sunday, CK Akonnor who is coach of Ghana says his team will approach the South Africa encounter with the seriousness it deserves.
“It is a match that we are taking it very very serious. When we played Ethiopia there were certain things we needed to do,” the gaffer shared.
Coach Akonnor added, “We have learnt from them and we think and we believe that come tomorrow we will improve and we will be looking forward to have a good match and we look forward to get the three point.”
Tomorrow’s game will be played at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. It is scheduled to kick-off at 16:00GMT.
