Joseph Paintsil charges Genk teammates to build on West Ham stalemate
Ghanaian winger, Joseph Paintsil has charged his Genk teammates to build on their stalemate against West Ham in the Europa League.
The Belgian side were held to a 2-2 drawn game in the matchday four games of the Europa League games at the Cristal Arena.
However, Paintsil broke the deadlock on the 4th-minute for his side.
Despite failing to secure all points against the Premier League side, Paintsil believes they can build on the draw to improve.
“Taking the three points was not in it tonight, then you have to be happy with a division in the end,” the former Tema Youth star said.
“We often perform these kinds of actions in training. The 1-0 did indeed go well.
“We scored three goals there, while we were also doing our job there and were mentally prepared. But that’s football. Then we were in the pit, but the crisis is gone now. We only look forward,” he added.
Genk will host Cercle Brugge in the Belgian topflight on Sunday.
