A win over Legon Cities in week 29 of the Ghana Premier League coupled with the defeats suffered by both Olympics and Medeama SC has propelled Karela United into third position on the league table.

The Western region side who are still missing the services of their star striker Diawisie Taylor were sharp on the afternoon as they run out victorious with a 2-0 win.

Taylor who is the leading goal scorer in the Ghana Premier League is still with the Black Meteors team on tour, but his absence was not greatly felt against Legon Cities as two of his teammates stepped to get the victory for his side.

Berko then netted one himself in the 83rd minute to give his side the three maximum points.

Coach Evans Addotey’s side who were in 6th place before the commencement of week 29 have moved a couple of places up and are now in 3rd position, with Medeama, Great Olympics and Dreams FC all dropping points.
