Legon Cities travel to the Western region with the sole objective of securing all three points in order to boost their chances of a top 4 spot.

After battling relegation for most part of the season, the head coach of the club, Bashir Hayford has hinted a change in objective for the club going into the last stages of the season.

Following an impressive run of results, Legon Cities are now targeting a a top four spot as revealed by the coach in a recent interview.

He said: “Once we are on the winning way, if we get four [wins] out of the six [remaining matches], then you will know where we are going to lie.

“It won’t be a surprise for people to see that we are playing in top 4, it won’t be a surprise at all.

Karela United are currently on a rough patch having won just one of their last five games in the Ghana Premier League.

That one win came against Eleven Wonders, while they have drawn with Olympics, Elmina Sharks and Chelsea and suffered defeat at the hands of Medeama.

But despite their poor run of form, the Western based side are strong at home and will be difficult to beat.

Karela have won 10 of their home matches this season and lost just 1.

Their opponents, Legon Cities who appear to have won the relegation battle have enjoyed four victories in their last five games and are now in 8th position with 38 points.

A win will put them just two points behind Karela United and boost their chances of securing a top 4 spot.

But in order to secure a win, they would have to work on their away form which has seen them lose their last two consecutive away fixtures.
