Kevin Yeboah handed maiden Black Stars call up for Ethiopia and South Africa 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Strum Graz forward Kevin Yeboah has been handed his maiden Black Stars call up for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana will lock horns with Ethiopia and South Africa as qualifiers for the biggest soccer mundial kick-start next month.

The Black Stars will play host to Ethiopia at the Cape Coast Stadium on Friday, September 3 before they travel to South Africa for the second game on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Ahead of the much-anticipated qualifiers, head coach of the Black Stars Charles Kwabla Akonnor has announced his squad with Kevin Yeboah making the squad.

The enterprising forward has been key for his outfit in the Austrian Bundesliga this season scoring two goals in 3 matches.

Last season, he featured 16 times for the side scoring 4 goals in the process.

Ghana has been paired in Group G of the qualifiers with Ethiopia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The winner of the group will qualify for the final two-legged playoff which will involve other group winners.
