Kotoko’s Ismail Ganiyu battles 2 others for top GPL Award
Asante Kotoko stalwart defender Abdul Ismail Ganiyu has been nominated as part of a three man shortlist for the Ghana Premier League NASCO Player of the Month Award for May 2021.
Ganiyu is joined on the list by Ibrahim Salifu of Hearts of Oak and Sam Adams of Aduana Stars.
Six matches were played in the month of May with the three players exhibiting strong individual performances which helped their respective teams in the month.
The three players were nominated considering the number of Player of Match awards won and goals scored in the month.
Ganiyu won One man of the Match award and scored three goals as Asante Kotoko went unbeaten in the Month of May (recording 3 wins and 3 draws)
The winner of the Player of the Month for May will be announced on Friday, June 25 live on GFA News.
The winner will receive a NASCO television set and a personalized trophy.
