Ghanaian International and Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus today registered his name on the score sheet in the team’s 4-0 win against Sparta Rotterdam and dedicated the goal to the late Ghana Black Star player, Christian Atsu whose life was tragically cut short in the Turkey earthquake.

The sensational footballer scored on the 84th minute into the game to solidify his teams win after goals from Dusan Tadic, Kenneth Taylor Dusan Tadic in the 6′, 27′ and 64′ minutes penalty, respectively.

GhanaPlus.com gathers, the goal is Kudus first career free kick goal and the 9th in the Eredivisie this season.

Right after the ball hit the back of the net, Kudus showed off his inner shirt with the inscription R.I.P Atsu and run to the corner and went on his knees to dedicate the win to his senior Black Star colleague.

Earlier, Kudus had mourn Christian Atsu in a twitter post.

He wrote “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. . My heart out to@ChristianAtsu20close & extended family. Still in a state of shock & can’t find words. Until we meet again may the light guide your kind & caring heart brother”.

Christian Atsu found dead

Christian Atsu, 31 was found dead on Saturday, February 18, 12days after he was trapped in rabbles of the 11storey facility he was in at the time of the Turkey earthquake.

He had played for Hatayspor, his current club on Sunday, February 5 and scored the only goal of the day on the 90th minute to see his club to victory against Kasimpasa before the unfortunate incident which claimed his young life happened.

Atsu’s remains is expected to arrive this evening at Ghana’s airport, Kotoka International Airport at exactly 7:40 P.M.
