Kwasi Appiah rejects Black Stars assistant coaching job – Reports

Former Ghana international Kwasi Appiah is reported to have turned down the opportunity to serve as Black Stars assistant coach.

Ghana is currently without a coach following the sacking of Charles Kwabla Akonnor over an unimpressive performance in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The former Ghana captain and his two deputies were sacked following the Black Stars uninspiring showing in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.

However, Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac has been selected to take over the Black Stars for a second stint.

According to reports in the local media, Kwesi Appiah who has had two stints with the national team has been contacted to become one of the two assistant coaches for Milovan Rajevac but has rejected the proposal, insisting he is still on a sabbatical leave from coaching.
